Lenga (Nothofagus Pumilio), is a native Chilean species whose forestry mass concentrated in the XI and XII region of Chile, specifically in the Patagonia region and the Island of Tierra del Fuego. This species is known in many countries as Tierra del Fuego Cherry or South American Cherry, presenting a white to yellowish color sapwood and heartwood of a pale to dark pink shade. It is a noble wood that offers excellent conditions for drying, machining and staining. Lenga forests in Chile achieve a surface area of 3,4 million hectares; of which the Chilean Legislation allows close to 33% for commercial use. This allows the permanence and improvement of the Lenga species.

First Selection Grade This grade allows to obtain mainly long clear free of defects. This lumber is recommended to be used in decorative moldings,
doors and furniture stiles, tops and any products that requiere longer clear pieces. This Lumber is normally placed through a
steaming process to homogenize it's color. |
