Lenga (Nothofagus Pumilio), is a native Chilean species whose forestry mass concentrated in the XI and XII region of Chile, specifically in the Patagonia region and the Island of Tierra del Fuego.

This species is known in many countries as Tierra del Fuego Cherry or South American Cherry, presenting a white to yellowish color sapwood and heartwood of a pale to dark pink shade.

It is a noble wood that offers excellent conditions for drying, machining and staining. Lenga forests in Chile achieve a surface area of 3,4 million hectares; of which the Chilean Legislation allows close to 33% for commercial use. This allows the permanence and improvement of the Lenga species.

First Selection Grade

This grade allows to obtain mainly long clear free of defects. This lumber is recommended to be used in decorative moldings, doors and furniture stiles, tops and any products that requiere longer clear pieces. This Lumber is normally placed through a steaming process to homogenize it's color.
Clear surface yield is 83% - 100%, for both sides.

Select & Better Grade

This grade includes Firs Selection pieces and pieces that the front faces are First Selection and back face is equivalent to Prime Grade.
This wood is ideal for uses that require long pieces. This lumber is normally placed through a steaming process to homogenize it's color.
Clear surface yield is: Front Face 83% - 100%. Back Face 67% - 100%

Prime Grade

This grade allows to obtain a convenient equilibrium of long and medium sized pieces. Adequate for furniture, armoires and for a wide variety of solid wood manufactured products.
Clear surface yield es 67% - 83% for both faces.

Standard Grade

This grade provides the user with medium short pieces, ideal for using in furniture, furniture doors, chairs and others taht usually do not require long pieces.

This grade provides the user mainly with short pieces. This wood is adequate to use for furniture and other applications that require short pieces.

Medullar Grade

This grade offers the user with pieces where knots and naturalness of the wood are required. It is characterized by having attractive and consistent sound knots, wich make it ideal for using in rustic designs.
Sound surface yield is 67% - 100%.**
** Sound Size Cutting allows: Sound knots, pith and other sound defects. Only dead knots are not allowed.

Select & Better Color Grade

This grade allows the user to take advantage of long pieces, where differences in dark brown colors streaks are not restricted. It is an adequate grade for furniture and other products that will de finished with dark stains or painted.
Clear surface yield is: Front Face 83% - 100%. Back Face 67% - 100%.

Common Color Grade

This grade allows the user to take advantage of medium and short sized pieces, when dark brown colors and mineral streaks are not a restriction.
It is an adequate grade for the production of furniture and other products tah will de finished with stains, painted pr in designs where the differences in color are an attribute.
Clear surface yield is: Front Face 50% - 83%. Back Face 50% - 67%.
